How To Remove Hard Water From Faucet?

How to Remove Hard Water

Here’s how to fix it: use white vinegar.

Menu

Step 1

Use white vinegar to clean the area.

Step 2

To keep out all fumes, cover with saran wrap

Step 3

Depending on the severity of the grime, wait 15-30 minutes before removing the plastic wrap.

Step 4

Use a sponge or toothbrush to clean away grime. A toothbrush is a better choice than a sponge for this project. It has soft bristles, which are less likely to scratch fixtures.

If You Also Want To Clean Shower Head Or Faucet

You can clean your faucet or shower head by placing 1 cup of white vinegar into a plastic baggie. Then, tie the baggie around your faucet using a rubber band. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Next, remove the baggie and scrub the faucet with a sponge. Works like a charm! You can clean the drain or the base of the sink using the same method, but you should use saran wrap instead, as we did.
